Built in 1948, the Dunes Golf and Beach Club has been amazing golfers and the golf industry alike with its award-winning layout. Considered by many to be one of the best courses in the Myrtle Beach area, the Dunes Club has received numerous awards and accolades, and even garnered spots in golf lists like Golf Digest's Top 100 in America. Famed architect Robert Trent Jones designed this beauty, and many consider it his best work. Although a private course, Open Golf Tee Times has arranged to start booking tee times for the Dunes Club.
The Dunes Golf and Beach Club is situated very close to the beach between the towns of Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach. The course has some views of the ocean on the course, particularly hole 9 with a spectacular view of the ocean behind the green. The course measures at 7165 yards, has a slope of 141, and a rating of 75.7 from the back tees. Its signature hole is #13, named Waterloo, and was awarded a spot on Sports Illustrated's America's Best 18 Holes.
